Number Transfer & Porting Policy
This Number Transfer & Porting Policy explains how phone number transfers work when you bring a number to Glow Mobile or move a number away from Glow Mobile. By requesting a number transfer, you agree to this Policy.
1. Overview
Glow Mobile may allow eligible customers to:
transfer an existing phone number to Glow Mobile
transfer a Glow Mobile number to another provider
request a new number instead of transferring an existing one
Number transfers are sometimes called “porting.” Not all numbers are eligible for transfer, and successful porting depends on accurate information, account status, device compatibility, and third-party carrier processing.
2. Bringing Your Number to Glow Mobile
If you want to keep your current number and move it to Glow Mobile, you must provide accurate and complete transfer information. This may include:
the phone number you want to transfer
your current carrier
your account number with your current carrier
your transfer PIN, port-out PIN, or passcode, if required
your billing name and billing address exactly as listed with your current carrier
any other information needed to verify transfer eligibility
You authorize Glow Mobile and its service providers to use this information to process the transfer request on your behalf.
3. Eligibility Requirements
A number transfer may require that:
your number is still active with your current provider
your current provider allows the transfer
the account information you provide matches your existing provider’s records
the number is eligible to be transferred
your device and account are compatible with Glow Mobile service
Glow Mobile does not guarantee that every number can be transferred.
4. Do Not Cancel Your Old Service Too Early
If you are bringing a number to Glow Mobile, do not cancel service with your current provider before the transfer is completed unless your current provider specifically instructs you to do so.
Canceling your old service too early may cause:
transfer failure
delays
loss of your phone number
interruption of service
You are responsible for following your prior carrier’s requirements during the transfer process.
5. Processing Time
Porting times can vary. Some number transfers may complete quickly, while others may take longer depending on:
your prior carrier
the accuracy of the information submitted
account verification requirements
carrier processing schedules
technical or operational issues outside Glow Mobile’s control
Glow Mobile does not guarantee that a transfer will be completed within any specific timeframe.
6. Delays and Failed Transfers
A transfer may be delayed or rejected for reasons including:
incorrect account number, PIN, or billing details
inactive or suspended service with the prior carrier
account mismatches
fraud-prevention holds
technical issues
restrictions imposed by your current or new provider
Glow Mobile is not responsible for delays, failures, or losses caused by incorrect information provided by the customer or by third-party carrier actions.
7. Temporary Service Issues During Transfer
During the transfer process, there may be temporary interruptions, partial service, or short periods where calls, texts, or data do not work as expected.
Glow Mobile is not responsible for temporary service disruption that occurs as part of the normal transfer process or due to third-party provider delays.
8. New Number Requests
If you choose not to transfer an existing number, Glow Mobile may assign you a new phone number, subject to availability.
Glow Mobile does not guarantee the availability of any specific area code, exchange, vanity number, or preferred number selection unless explicitly offered.
9. Transferring a Number Away from Glow Mobile
If you want to move your Glow Mobile number to another provider, you may need to provide information required by the new provider and complete any identity verification or security checks required by Glow Mobile.
Glow Mobile may require verification to help prevent unauthorized transfers, fraud, or account takeovers.
You remain responsible for your Glow Mobile account, including recurring billing, until:
your transfer is completed, and
your line is canceled or otherwise closed in accordance with Glow Mobile’s policies
10. Port-Out Security
To protect customers from fraud and unauthorized transfers, Glow Mobile may require verification before releasing a number to another provider. This may include:
identity verification
account authentication
confirmation through the email address or phone number on file
other reasonable security steps
Glow Mobile reserves the right to delay or reject a transfer request if we suspect fraud, unauthorized activity, or account compromise.
11. Billing During Transfers
Requesting a number transfer does not automatically cancel your Glow Mobile service or recurring billing.
If you are:
transferring a number into Glow Mobile, your prior carrier may continue billing you until the transfer is complete and your old service is properly closed
transferring a number away from Glow Mobile, Glow Mobile may continue billing according to your active plan until the transfer is completed and your Glow Mobile line is canceled or terminated
You are responsible for understanding the billing policies of both your prior provider and Glow Mobile.
12. Device Compatibility
Even if a number is eligible for transfer, activation may still require a compatible, unlocked device and successful eSIM setup where applicable.
Glow Mobile is not responsible for failed activation caused by:
incompatible devices
locked devices
manufacturer or carrier restrictions
setup errors
software or connectivity issues on the customer’s device
13. Fraud, Abuse, and Unauthorized Transfers
Glow Mobile may deny, delay, or investigate transfer requests that appear to involve:
identity theft
account takeover
SIM swap attempts
fraudulent activity
incomplete or suspicious information
Glow Mobile may suspend or restrict affected accounts while such issues are reviewed.
14. No Guarantee of Continuous Availability
Glow Mobile does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of a transferred number during the transfer process. Temporary downtime, routing issues, messaging delays, or reactivation delays may occur.
15. Changes to This Policy
Glow Mobile may update this Number Transfer & Porting Policy from time to time. If we do, we will update the Effective Date above. Continued use of Glow Mobile after the updated Policy takes effect means you accept the revised Policy.
